New CC-type micrometeorite from Field Search #1070

This striking cryptocrystalline (CC) type micrometeorite, NMM 3159, was collected by Jon Larsen during Field Search #1070 just outside of Oslo and photographed by Jon with Jan Braly Kihle.

The droplet was shaped by surface tension during entry into the Earth’s atmosphere and features a glassy tail. It measures approximately 0.3 mm.
